Prayers are not being answered?

Several times we are confused, why our prayers are not being answered? If we go through the bible, we can see some situations of prayers are not being answered. When Jesus was in Gethsemane he requested God to take away the coming burdens from him but God allowed it to happen. In Paul’s body one disease was there and he asked God to take it away, more than three times, but it continued to disturb him.

Sometimes the meanings of the promises are diverted to our own thoughts and situations. Jesus said whatever you ask in my name will be given to you. This not only means that you ask by adding my name into your prayers to God. In the Bible we can see many situations using the term “In My Name”. Accept this child in My Name, Give drinking water in My Name etc. Here we can see the attitude and vision according to the situation. Whatever you ask in My Name will be given to you means, what is our attitude?

When Jesus asked to remove the coming difficulties in his life, he added but not my will, yours will be done. What is the will of God? What is his plan towards our life? These are very important. If we ask against the will of God it will be unanswered.

God wants a Paul who is weak and dedicate himself fully into the soul winning. In his weakness God made him strong. It was God’s will about Jesus to take the cross to the Calvary to save the world. If the difficulty of Jesus was taken away while he was asked, still the human race will be unsaved. We are saved by the blood of Christ.

If our attitude and intention is impure the prayers will be unanswered. Our prayer warrior Jacob says, your requests are not being answered because of your impure intention.

The prayer requests without a mutual understanding with God will be unanswered. Bible says the prayers of the righteous strongly work; it has an opposite meaning too. If we live a life against the will of God, he will not keep a relationship with us. Walk according to his will your intentions will be fulfilled

Sometimes God will not answer our prayers that will not benefit us. We will not give a sharp knife in the hands of child even if he cries for it. Because we know that it may hurt him.

May God bless you with these thoughts.
