There can be no doubt in regard to the impact that Moses, has had on the world. Did you know that when God first called Moses to the task of leading Israel out of Egypt, that Moses tried several times to offer excuses as to why He couldn’t do the Lord’s bidding. Apparently, Moses didn’t quite grasp that the God who created his mouth, ears, and his eyes was fully capable of making them function. At times we forget we’re dealing with the Creator of the universe. Now, God commands Moses to go and promises to be with him.
It is important to note that God did not ask Moses to use something that he does not have. God asks Moses, “What is in your hand?” God uses what we have, and has never demanded from us what we do not have. We will never know the full potential of what can be done until or unless we are willing to offer it to God. God is not looking for ability, he is looking for availability.
As a young Christian business couple, there have been times when we have asked God, “Why have You given us this unique assignment? There are so many other couple who don’t have the weaknesses we do. Why don’t you use them?” But then the response comes: “‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness’” . If we feel weak, limited, or inadequate, we are the best material through which God’s power can work.
