Noah was told very little about what would happen to him as he began this adventure. The ark was the source of hope for him; he would be protected from the flood & storm. But what Noah didn’t hear was any word about getting out of the ark, about the end of the story. Why God allows for these silences, these periods in the wilderness.
But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.
In fact, the Lord had not forgotten Noah. But Noah’s experience was that he had been forgotten, and so he described what appeared to be God’s renewed interest in him as a remembering.
Have you felt the same situation like Noah ? God set us on our way and then seem to withdraw his hand from us? Have you faced any situation when he gives us no answers? What are we supposed to learn in those kinds of times? David anointed king also driven into the wilderness by Saul. Jesus also driven to the wilderness after the dove descended on him at his baptism, and forced to undergo that time of testing and temptation. Apostle Paul also after his conversion, spend months in Arabia.
As a young business couple, we have also gone through this kind of situation several times in our lives. But God remembered us too in our storms of life like Noah and David and helped us to withstand the flood each time with flying colors for His sake.
