THE CROSS LIVING ON THE CROSSWAY : Part 4b

As continued from previous article…

In the midst of all this things God prepared a provision for us. Although we have fallen from the father’s eye, still He loves us as his child. “For since we were restored to friendship with God by the death of His Son while we were still enemies, we will certainly be delivered from eternal punishment by his life. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God – all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us in making us friends of God.” (Verses 10 &11)

Many a time we say ‘First things first’ I don’t wants to talk about what will we mean by this but if God say this same thing, he will definitely say the meaning which reflects on Jan Cupp’s story………..

“If I sold my house and my car, had a big garage sale and gave all my money to the church, would I get into heaven?” I asked the children in my Sunday school class. “No!” the children all answered. “If I cleaned the church every day, mowed the yard, and kept everything neat and tidy, would I get into heaven?” Again, the answer was “No!” “Well,” I continued, “than how can I get to heaven?” A five – year – old boy shouted out, “You gotta be dead!”

I think God’s answer will be the same but He might add little more to it and say, “You gotta be dead and saved”

Oh’ yes we definitely gotta be dead physically and saved for eternity. We are saved by The Blood of Christ (Verse 9) but without cross and judgment of Christ on our behalf, we could not have His blood shed. So heaven is a place for those who have received Jesus Christ as Lord (John 14: 1 – 6).

GOD BLESSES YOU.
