What is Insight? Clear or deep perception of a situation
What is Foresight? Providence by virtue of planning prudently for the future
What is Hindsight? Understanding the nature of an event after it has happened
I want to connect these visions with the Bible from Mathew 3.
In a Christian life these things really matters. A believer must have a deep perception of situations and must have a virtue planning for the future. Understanding the nature of an event after it has happened is not really worth.
Mathew 3 introduces John the Baptist. Here we can see the foreseeing of an event which has to come. He is giving a warning to the Pharisees and Sadducees “You brood of vipers! Who warned to flee from the wrath to come, bear fruit worthy of repentance?” Here John the Baptist was foreseeing the wrath, the sadness, the difficulty is to come. A believer needs this foresight. Stick with Jesus he will open up everything in front of you. Foresight helps to stay away from the wrath. His foresight was to prepare the way of the Lord make his paths straight. His insight helped him for this virtue prudent plan for the future.
Hindsight is a very difficult term. In my point of view which is very bad and worthless in most of the cases. Some cases are there where we must have an understanding of the things has happened to reserve knowledge and experience for the future. After an event has happened, we will not able to change its direction. We will not be able to sit with prayers for a better hope. We can not challenge after an incident.
In a faith life we need the understanding of things has to come, the wrath to come.
You need the insight, the understanding for the foresight.
God be with you.
