Are you afraid of hearing this? But I am afraid of this. After a long journey for the kingdom of heaven if God tell you “You will never enter the kingdom of heaven”. What will be the result?
But yes the Bible says Mathew 5:20, unless your righteousness exceeds that of Scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of God. These are the people in Jesus’ time noted for strict obedience to Jewish traditions. They considered themselves as self-righteous people.
In Mathew: 5 we can see Jesus giving a real description of the character a human to adore for getting God’s favor and consideration. He proclaims the life of humbleness and righteousness. Let your light shine before others, so that they see your good works and give glory to the Father in heaven.
Live erect not only praise the lord but also teach correctly. Until heaven and earth pass away, not one letter, not one stroke of a letter, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. Whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever who does and teaches them, will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
In Mathew: 5 you will see a list of things which will be accomplished to enter God’s righteousness.
The things we consider very simple are considered how valuable in His eyes:
If you are angry with a brother or sister – You will be liable to judgment
If you insult a brother or sister – You will be liable to the counsel
If you say “You fool” – You will be liable to the hell
When you offering your gift to the altar, if you remember your brother or sister have something against you – first be reconciled to your brother or sister and then offer your gift.
Adultery – Everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Divorce – Anyone divorces his wife except on the ground of unchastity, causes her to commit adultery.
Swear –Do not swear at all. Let your words be ‘Yes Yes’ or ’No No’ anything more than this comes from the evil one.
Eye for an Eye – Do not resist an evildoer. Anyone strikes on the right cheek, turn the other also.
Enemy – Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Be perfect, therefore, your heavenly Father is perfect.
