Are we enjoying the blessings of God or feeling guilty of the possessions ?
If God has blessed us; we should be overflowing with joy and gratitude toward him who has entrusted us with so much as God owns everything, and we are his money managers. Until we recognize that everything we have and everything we don’t have belongs to God, we will never be proper managers.
We should live not for the dot, which is life on earth, but for the line, which is heavenly existence. When we conceive of reality as it really is, decisions about our finances can be made with a proper perspective. Giving is the only antidote to materialism. When we feel tempted to pursue possessions with selfish zeal, what better way to refocus our hearts than through being generous with all that we have?
God prospers us not to raise our standard of living but to raise our standard of giving.
