When Peter saw the wind and the waves, he became afraid and began to sink. He shouted, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught Peter.
Matthew 14:31-32 (New Century Version)
My Well Beloved Lord Jesus, You who steadied the hand of Peter as he began to sink on the stormy sea, if you are with me, no one is against me. Grant to me the shield of faith and the mighty armor of the Holy Spirit to protect me and guide me to do Your will. I put my future into Your hands. Yahweh-Adonai,when I sink into error, danger, or frailty, please reach out and hold my hand. I thank You because You understand that I am apt to sink in the storms of life and get caught up in messes. You also know that in my weakness I am apt to take my eyes off You. I thank You that You never take Your eyes off me. Your power is always perfected in my weaknesses so that You may show me that without You by my side I can no do nothing. Let me rejoice in my weaknesses and foolishness so that Your power may manifest in all aspects my life always. In Jesus’ name, amen.
