Don’t get so angry that you sin. Don’t go to bed angry and don’t give the devil a chance. Stop being bitter and angry and mad at others. Don’t yell at one another or curse each other or ever be rude. Instead, be kind and merciful, and forgive others, just as God forgave you because of Christ.

When somebody has hit you, it only takes a bit of physical strength to hit him back. But it takes much greater strength not to hit back. When someone maligns you, you only need your tongue to say bad things back. It takes greater power to hold your peace. This greater power is supplied by the Holy Spirit. Ask God to fill you with Holy Spirit so that you can be more than a conquerer in all situations.
