Living by grace Part 4

In him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.

Ephesians 1: 7 NASB

The center point of above scripture verse is “In Him, through and of His”

We have already got to know about Him as what we can call Him in the previous article but now that we have to discuss about Him as center point I can’t stop myself coating from C. H. Spurgeon…

“Knowledge paints the portrait of Jesus, and when we see that portrait than we love Him, we can’t love Christ whom we do not know, at least, in some degree. If we know but little of the excellences of Jesus, what He has done for us, and what He is doing now, we can’t love Him much; but the more we know Him, the more we shall love Him. Knowledge also strengthens hope. How can we hope for a thing if we do not know its existence? Hope may be the telescope, but till we receive instruction, our ignorance stands in the front of the glass, and we can see nothing whatever; knowledge removes the interposing object, and when we look through the bright optic glass we discern the glory to be revealed, and anticipate it with joyous confidence. Knowledge supplies us reasons for patience. How shall we have patience unless we know something of the sympathy of Christ, and understand the good which, under God, will not be fostered and brought to perfection by holy knowledge. How important, than, is it that we should grow not only in grace, but in the “knowledge” of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Yes, if we know not knowledge, we grow not in grace. How wonderful is to grow in the knowledge of His grace! We should remember that the reverent and worshipful fear or respect of Lord God Almighty is the beginning and the principal and choice part of our knowledge (Proverbs 1: 7)

LORD, LET US GROW IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR GRACE.
