But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s judgment. For since we were restored to friendship with God by the death of His Son while we were still enemies, we will certainly be delivered from eternal punishment by his life. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God – all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us in making us friends of God.
Romans 5: 8 – 11. New Living Translation
The God who has created us is Holy & Perfect. He is the Most High who has no sin / wrongdoing in Him, not even a bit. This same God has created us with His own image. Perfect! We might enjoy everything on this earth and rule over it. But we have done wrong, made mistakes, fallen from the stander of the perfect creature to imperfect creature. All because we have made a choice to do wrong by using the God given character called power of choice or free volition. As a consequence of our choice, the relationship between us and God as father and child has been broken.
It’s not just over! Our free willed choice not only taken us away from perfection and relationship, it’s also proved us as wrong before the Most High. So, every wrong doing deserve a punishment! Our wrong doing not only affected our physical realm but spiritual realm too. So, we not only deserve physical death but spiritual death too. Physical death is just the starting of our death life, from this time we will be dieing for whole eternity but will never be dead.
Have you ever had a brunt experience of your finger or some other parts of your body? What a feeling is that! Imagine a place where we will be in an eternal fire for eternity. We will be in burning fire for millions & trillions of years which is never ending.
